Description
Lining PTFE pneumatic 3 way ball valve
Introducing Lining PTFE Pneumatic 3 Way Ball Valve, the perfect combination of quality and convenience. This valve includes a body made of SS304, SS316, or SS316L and is available in various sizes ranging from 1/2″ to 4″. The ball type can be an L-port, T-port, X-port, or I-port and the ends include BSP, BSPT, NPT DIN, ISO, or Clamp connections. The real locking function provides even more reliability. The Pneumatic Actuator offers adjustable torque driven output from 10Nm to 8000Nm depending on the application requirements. Additionally it comes with several features such as two independently adjustable travel stop screws and a cam on the output shaft that allows for precise bidirectional adjustment of movement in both the open and closed positions (+5° to -5° limit adjustment). A further benefit is self cleaning design that enables the media to flush away any debris in the valve cavity so maintenance is easy. Made with aluminum bodies and coated end caps this product is also suitable for corrosive environments by offering NAMUR accessory compatibility and special coatings and materials when needed. FAQs
Which industries are sanitary ball valves used in?
Sanitary ball valves are used in a variety of industries, most commonly in the food processing industry. Sanitary ball valves are designed to provide optimal hygiene for processes involving fluids and gases that require purity or sterility standards. The design typically includes rounded surfaces with no crevices, eliminating the risk of substances getting caught or trapped inside.
The valves must be constructed using materials that meet the stringent requirements of the food industry such as stainless steel grade 304/316L and other non-corrosive materials. In addition to this material quality requirement, sanitary ball valves must also maintain dimensional integrity over a wide range of temperatures and pressures while providing excellent reliability for process control applications in various environments including extreme temperatures.
How are sanitary ball valves used in the food & beverage industry?
Sanitary ball valves are commonly used in the food and beverage industry, due to their ability to prevent contamination. The main attribute of sanitary ball valves is that they are designed with no crevices or dead-end spaces that can trap bacteria, thus making them ideal for applications where cleanliness is a priority.
Sanitary ball valves use different materials than traditional valves, as their construction must meet stringent standards of hygiene and purity. Stainless steel (such as 304 and 316L) is one of the most common materials used in these types of valves as it’s resistant to corrosion and is easy to clean and sterilize.
Can sanitary three-way ball valves achieve no residual media?
Yes, sanitary three-way ball valves are capable of achieving no residual media. These types of valves have the ability to both direct and regulate the flow of a medium through them. They are used in a wide range of industries for their versatile design and reliable performance.
Sanitary three-way ball valves can be manipulated to stop the flow completely within one pipeline, meaning there is no residual media left over inside the valve when it is closed. This allows for quick cleaning when necessary and prevents potential contamination from leftover material or clogging from disturbed materials. This level of precision that these types of valve deliver makes them a great choice for applications where hygiene regulations must be strictly adhered to, such as in food manufacturing and preparation plants.
